A Polish King decree of 1533 granting brewing in Lviv, has started a wonderful beer history of the city. Having gained popularity in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Lviv beer has continued successfully to nowadays, through the not so benevolent Soviet time. Located in the eldest functioning brewery of Lviv, the Brewery Museum would not only show off old documents, barrels, bottles, corks, and relevant equipment but there you would be offered to taste the freshest Lviv beer. Plus, your guide will show you the most popular places for beer in Lviv. Definitely, this tour is a must for beer lovers. Though, leaving the beer aside, the tour is interesting from a historical standpoint too.
