Prymorsky Boulevard

Primorsky Boulevard

Shady platens and chestnut trees, benches lining modest tidy flowerbeds and the magnificent sea view make the Primorsky Boulevard irresistible both for tourists and Odessans. Seems like the place has psychedelic properties. People come here and stay for hours gazing at the Sea Port full of ships, boats and yachts, enjoying the shade and the sea breeze. Unoccupied benches are few, people reluctantly leave the boulevard.
The City Council building neighbors the monument to great Alexander Pushkin, from where the pedestrian area of the boulevard continues to the west with the Vorontsov Palace and the Grecian colonnade overlooking the harbor.
Next to the palace is so called "Piece of Old Odessa": the steep wood and iron bridge, the well and a sculpture of a girl with a jar. Newlyweds traditionally come here to have their pictures taken.

Just a quick note to say that all the arrangements you made in Kiev and in the Crimea worked without a hitch. Your two drivers were most helpful and made our arrival in a strange country much easier. Thank you for your help - without it I doubt if we would have made the trip.
