Ukraine is coming back to normal finally. Though without Crimea as a travel destination for this year unfortunately, we are happy to
confirm it is quite safe to travel to Ukraine already. more > >
Transport and tours operate as usual. Ukraine has gained a new travel object - ex-president
Yanukovich's residence in Mizhgirya, a monument to enormous corruption and extremely
bad taste. Revolutionary Maidan and the Grushevskogo Street in Kyiv have also acquired new and
regretfully sad meanings as Kyiv travel sites. Considering Crimea as a part of
Ukraine and a wonderful piece of travel in our country, we are very concerned
about its current occupation by the Russian Federation. We hope it would be
resolved in the nearest future, and meanwhile all the bookings we had there
were cancelled by us due to indefinite visa regulations, Russian military
occupation and unpredictability of events there in general. Ukraine is looking forward
to presidential elections in the end of May, and we are very enthusiastic about
building a better country for Ukrainians and tourists as well. We are happy to
have a real chance to build a better country now! hide
Thank you for all your help regarding my visit to the Ukraine. It was indeed a wonderful trip, even without hot water. I was sad to leave and look forward to returning.
I found the area surrounding Kyiv to be very beautiful. The people in Kyiv were very friendly and I have told my friends that the Ukrainian people are a very proud and kind people.
I took many photos and have placed them on our college's intranet for others to see. I believe I have more than 500 photos to distribute. I have attached several for you.
My friend, Natalyia, took me many places in Kyiv and Uman. I viewed Independence Center, St. Sophia Cathedral, St. Michael's Cathedral, our hotel was close to St. Andrew's church, I got to view the World War II war memorial, the Afghanistan War memorial, and many more wonderful sites.
Oksana, I believe you have a wonderful country and am happy I had an opportunity to visit, and look forward to visiting again, maybe Odessa next time. I heard much about your city also.
Again, thank you for your help, and please feel free to contact me if there is anything that I could do for Unipress.
